Founder Sascha Bayu Handojo was born in Germany, but his cultural roots lie in Indonesia. As a member of a long-established Indonesian entrepreneurial family, he combines typical characteristics of this cultural background with classic German virtues to create an entrepreneurial personality. With his business model, he proves that profit and humanity are not mutually exclusive, thereby significantly shaping the MYBALI company philosophy.
As a bridge builder between Europe and Indonesia, he already plays an important mediating role between business, politics, and the public. Due to his entrepreneurial expertise, Sascha Bayu Handojo is a sought-after guest and advisor for official business associations, chambers of commerce, and private business organizations.

MYBALI stands for Indonesian lifestyle and enjoyment culture. With every cup of coffee, you treat yourself to a break with a unique taste experience.
Our definition of lifestyle and enjoyment culture is that, for example, we import our coffee specialties exclusively from Indonesia, as certain varieties like Kopi Luwak or Lintong are only grown there. The brown gold is handpicked during the harvest and later dried using traditional manual labor. While beans in conventional industrial roasting are often roasted for just a few minutes, MYBALI coffee is traditionally refined. This approach also serves as a blueprint for all our other products, as our high quality standards are not only evident in the cultivation process but also in the further processing. We extract the best from the raw material and create a clearly unique product experience for our customers.

OUR PASSION
DIRECT TRADE at MYBALI means direct contact with the raw material growers – no intermediaries and no detours. We know our coffee farmers by name, visit them regularly in person, exchange ideas with them, and jointly assess the excellent quality of the coffee. While most major coffee brands rely on intermediaries, all the proceeds from our sales go directly to the coffee farmers. This ensures that their focus is entirely on the quality of the coffee and the products, which we pay fairly and above average for, creating benefits for all parties involved.
